How it works

Their turn. Your card. 1.5 seconds.

A page on your laptop hears the call. A page on your phone shows the card: the answer when they ask, the questions and the checks when they talk. Nothing joins the meeting and nothing is drawn over it.

Notes, not a script.

Optional. A few lines about you, your numbers and who's on the call. Every number on a card comes from here, or the card says so.

  • About you what you do, your numbers, how you answer the usual pushback. Plain text.
  • Per call a folder for the company: who is on the call, what you want from it, last time's summary.
  • Start empty if you like. Cards still come; where a number is missing they say NOT IN CONTEXT instead of guessing.

Pick the notes on the Live call page before the call. You can switch mid-call.

Their turn. Your card. One glance.

When they ask, a headline and three bullets from your own notes. When they make a point, up to three questions to ask next. Not in the call context? The card says so instead of guessing.

  • Fires only when they finish a question or objection. Never on your turns, and never so often that it distracts you.
  • ASK cards when they make a point instead: up to three questions to ask them next, in your voice.
  • Cue now on the phone forces a card from the recent conversation.
  • When they make a point instead of asking, an ASK row suggests what to ask them next.
  • Every figure matches your facts exactly, or it gets a ⚠.
  • Cards dim after a short while. Tap to bring one back. Earlier cards stay in a list below.

Leave with the transcript and the summary

A transcript labelled by speaker, every card, and a summary of asks, objections, commitments and next actions. Paste it into the call context and the next call starts from it.

  • Plain files, one folder per call, wherever ExactSay runs.
  • Nothing goes anywhere else, and your calls are never used to train models.

When you're the one asking

They talk. You get the question.

On an investor call, a vendor demo or an interview, they talk and you need the next question. ExactSay drafts it while they are still talking.

  • ASK cards are one question each, under eighteen words, in your voice. Up to three at a time.
  • Aimed at what you want from the call, as written in your notes. Never the same question twice. Small talk produces nothing.
  • Their turns only, and only when there is something worth asking. Switch off per call on the Live call page.

What happens in those 1.5 seconds

Four steps, none of them visible to the other side.

  1. 1

    Listen

The Live call page in Chrome takes the meeting tab's audio, and optionally your microphone. Nothing is shared into the call.

  2. 2

    Transcribe

Everything said is transcribed live, and every line knows who said it.

  3. 3

    Decide

When they finish speaking, ExactSay reads the conversation against your call context. A question, objection or buying signal gets an answer card. A point they made gets questions to ask.

  4. 4

    Card

An answer: headline, up to three bullets, the fact it came from and one question to ask back. Or up to three ASK cards, one question each. Straight to your phone.

Anatomy of a card

Big enough to read at arm's length, small enough to take in while they are still talking.

  • Kind question, objection, signal, fact or ask, colour-coded.
  • Headline six words at most.
  • Bullets three, about five words each. Never a script.
  • Fact exactly as it is written in your facts.
  • Ask back the one question to keep the conversation moving.
  • ASK card when they made a point instead: just the question, in your voice, nothing to read but that. Up to three at a time.

Two pages. Nothing to install.

One page on your laptop listens to the meeting. One page on your phone shows the cards. Notes are optional. This is the whole setup, recorded start to finish in 43 seconds.

With narration. Recorded on a real setup, not a mock.

Limitations

Where it stops, honestly.

  • The Live call page needs Chrome on the laptop. Safari and Firefox can't capture tab audio.
  • Desktop meeting apps need whole-screen audio: Chrome 141+ and macOS 14.2+, or Windows. Older Macs need a virtual audio device such as BlackHole. Details per platform.
  • Headphones are fine for tab and screen audio. The single-microphone fallback needs speakers.
  • Cards land about 1.5 seconds after they finish. If they move straight on, the card is about the previous thing.
  • A card is only as good as your call context. If the answer isn't in it, the card says NOT IN CONTEXT.
  • ASK cards work from what they said, your call context and general knowledge. They suggest what to ask, not what is true.
  • English is tuned best. Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch work with slower end-of-turn detection.
  • The phone page needs HTTPS and keeps the phone's screen awake. It works in iOS Safari and in a laptop tab; there is no native app.
  • One laptop, one call at a time. Transcripts are best-effort, not a compliance record.

Roadmap

Coming next.

  • Fact checks. When they make a claim, a card with what they said, what your call context and the record say, and the arithmetic on any number they gave. Not in the product yet.
